SLP304 - Christmas Reflections and Hope for a New Year

It’s Christmas week all over the world.

There is no better time than now to reflect, regroup, reset, and be renewed.

On this episode especially, I want us to consider the blessing of Christmas, what it really means, and look to a wonderful, hope-filled future.

It’s not about gifts, toys, vacations, or gadgets. Both Christmas and the future ahead are about the ultimate gift the world has ever been given.

LUKE 2: This is a timeless story.

While the world has evolved and the story has become less of a focus in so many places, it is still the greatest story ever told. It was Jesus’ coming which provided us our opportunities.

 

It is imperative we consider the reason we can pursue our dreams, our hopes. It is important that we recognize the source from which all of our meaningful ideas and contributions originate.

Life has a way of consuming us; completely and totally overwhelming us and demanding our attention.

 

Each time I have taken the time to PAUSE, I am amazed at how much more of God’s creation I become aware of.

 

There is BEAUTY everywhere, but can you see it?

There are blessings abounding, but are you too busy to notice?

 

The Bible says “Be STILL and know that I Am God”

What would life be like if we made the PAUSE a part of our daily discipline?

 

My Christmas encouragement to you is …. PAUSE

 

No matter what 2017 has been like for you; know this …

• God’s plans for your life are sure
• You have a hope
• You have a future
• Your future is bigger and brighter than your past
• As difficult as things may have been or may still BE, you are blessed, capable, and worthy of realizing the tomorrows God has given you.
