Many are talking about this, and while I certainly practice goal setting and planning, it is my supposition there are other factors at play to determine whether or not I will be successful in my new commitments and plans.

We’ll talk about that very thing as we discuss how to lay the foundation for an E.P.I.C. 2017!

There is a tangible sense something is stirring, and we are about to be ushered into a new season of life, a new era of influence, and a window of opportunity like we’ve never seen before!

Today, we are talking in terms of No More Excuses! It’s Go Time!

• As we wrap up the year, each of us is processing things on different levels, yet all of us are exactly where we were meant to be. That said, it would be a major mistake to carry into next year what God intended for you to be rid of at the close of this year! What lies ahead is a new beginning and new possibilities.

You Are In Business:

Whatever it is you do, you were called by God to make a mark and leave a legacy. Your work – whether it’s parenthood, ministry, corporate, nonprofit, etc., is your business. With that in mind, a business is NOT a business unless it makes a profit.

A business fails for one reason: it makes no money.

A nonprofit fails for one reason: it has no money.

Whatever the scenario, you are in business!

Burn the appropriate bridges in 2017!

Get busy! This year is your year – make it your business to see it through!

Today, we are talking about: 17 Things To Do To Position Yourself For a Transformational 2017.

 

The Gist:

• Whatever you accomplished this year is about to be in your rear view mirror. While it will play a significant part in your future, it is NOT your future. In the same way, areas you did not accomplish or achieve desired outcomes are but a fading memory and an irreversible part of your life’s journey. You would be well served to look ahead!

17 Critical Steps To Position Yourself For 2017:

1. Review your goals.
2. Celebrate your wins.
3. Identify areas you performed well in.
4. Identify areas you did not perform well in.
5. Answer the question: What did I not do that I needed to do?
6. Answer the question: Why? (No excuses, just honest assessment)
7. Forgive yourself. Commit to a fresh, more focused effort.
8. Close the books on 2016.
9. Start clean – blank sheet of paper!
10. Consider the possibilities. …. Really!
11. Answer the question: What do I want for my life, business, and relationships in 2017?
12. Write a short paragraph describing (in great detail) specifically what it is you want in each of those three areas.
13. Create a strategic plan.
14. Count the costs.
15. Inventory and evaluate your key relationships. (Eliminate all negative inputs!)
16. Collaborate in a community of like-minded leaders.
17. Confidently engage and execute the plan.
