SLP191 - Transition : 7 Keys For Victory In Transition
Friday Jan 17, 2020
Friday Jan 17, 2020
If you’ve not heard our previous three episodes (#179, #181, #183, #185, #187, and #189) in this series on transition, I’d encourage you to give them a listen.
Transition is a reality of life, and we’ll face it several times over the course of our life. Graduating from one level to another takes faith, discipline, perseverance, strategy, and a big dose of patience.
In this final session on transition, I want to do three things:
- Review the 4 stages of transition
- Share 7 Keys to help you continue the journey toward MORE
- Activate your heart and mind to the possibilities still ahead of you.
Let’s get to work now, and let’s finish strong!
The Gist:
Change is inevitable. What will you do with change when it comes to you? Transition is something we will all experience in life. It is a place between the way things used to be and the way they are becoming. It is the blank page between two chapters in a book. It is unchartered territory. It’s not where you have been, and it is not the full expression of where you are going. It is the place called BETWEEN.
7 Keys for Victory in Transition:
- Learn to recognize when something’s season has come to an end.
- Embrace change.
- Let go of the past.
- Identify the opportunities.
- Concentrate on areas of growth.
- Commit to your future.
- Trust God. He makes all things new!
Closing Thoughts:
- We believe in you!
- Are you ready to pass through the between?
- “Change is inevitable, progress is optional.” Tony Robbins

SLP189 - Transition : Suit Up and Get In The Game
Friday Jan 17, 2020
Friday Jan 17, 2020
If you’ve not heard our previous three episodes (#179, #181, #183, #185, and #187) in this series on transition, I’d encourage you to give them a listen.
Today’s program is really where the rubber meets the road. In everything we’ve talked about so far, they won’t do any good if you don’t act, do, or engage. This is the critical point – you need to get in the game!
Today we’re talking about just that: Redeployment.
The Gist:
Merriam Webster’s dictionary defines redeployment as follows: To transfer from one theater of operations to another; to move or allocate to a different position, use, function, or the like; reassign.
Redeployment is simply becoming activated and fully engaged in the reality of what the new season has offered you!
Something within you is not allowing you to:
- Trust yourself
- Believe that you can
- Trust someone else
- Dare to risk it all
- Engage the game of life
It’s FEAR of:
- Unknown
- Unfamiliar
- Failure
- Success
- Other’s opinions
- Losing relationships
- Getting hit!
It Is Time For Your Redeployment:
- You know what to do.
- You know your place.
- You’ve worked hard to prepare.
- Don’t get stuck.
- GET IN THE GAME!
Overcoming Roadblocks:
- Be clear on what you want.
- Resolve you’re not going back.
- Focus on what you discovered in the Reconnaissance stage.
- Find someone who will hold you accountable.
- Take action!
Closing Thoughts:
- Where are you in the process of transition?
- Are you beginning to see direction?
- Identify ONE action step you can take in the next 24 hours.
- Do it!
- Get in the game.

SLP187 - Transition : Is It Time For A {Personal} System Upgrade?
Friday Jan 17, 2020
Friday Jan 17, 2020
If you’ve not heard our previous three episodes (#179, #181, #183, and #185) in this series on transition, I’d encourage you to give them a listen.
Change is not easy, but it is worth it if you’re willing to walk out the entire process. Once you’ve said “Yes!” to the process and have actively engaged the quest for your next level, the next stage in transition is Reconnaissance.
This episode includes how you can effectively and accurately discern and discover what has been waiting for you on the other side.
The Gist:
Most of us think of the word “reconnaissance” in terms of military operations. Today, however, I’d like to look at it a little differently.
Merriam Webster’s dictionary defines reconnaissance as follows: To inspect, observe, or survey in order to gain information, clarification, and ultimately clear strategy.
This speaks so powerfully to how our future is often revealed to us in sections, compartments, and even in the context of collaboration and relationship. In the specific context of transition, reconnaissance serves as the active pursuit of gathering information, seeking clarity, discovering new opportunities and areas of possibility, and connecting with new people.
Data Sets We Search For:
- Identifying Passions
- Relationships
- Beliefs
- Environments
- Opportunities
- Possibilities
- Seasons of life
- Etc.
Your Reconnaissance Strategy:
- The YOU Factor
- The OTHERS Factor
- The GOD Factor
Closing Thoughts:
- You are called to transition for the purpose of going to a higher level of life, leadership, and effectiveness.
- The process is not always easy.
- Stay firm in your commitment to the journey you’ve embarked on.
- Do the work necessary.
- Find a coach or mentor who can help you navigate through the various stages.
