SLP069 - Convergence : When Ministry Meets The Marketplace
Monday Jan 13, 2020
Monday Jan 13, 2020
We Have “Them and Us” Syndrome
One of the greatest travesties I’ve witnessed in my lifetime is intentional separation between the church and the marketplace. This mindset has crippled our ability to bring heaven on earth, and has paralyzed us in becoming relevant change agents in the culture.
On today’s program, I want to share with you the importance of Convergence: When Ministry Meets the Marketplace.
Biblical Principle:
Matthew 5:13-16
You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.
You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
Matthew 10:16
Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves; so be shrewd as serpents and innocent as doves.

SLP068 - The Power of Habits, Rituals, and Routines
Monday Jan 13, 2020
Monday Jan 13, 2020
We behave and act out of habit
As we embark on another year, one of the most important things we can do is evaluate our habits. Habits, when formed, become second nature DRIVERS for our lives. These habits produce results; so when the results you are presently experiencing in you life don’t match up to what you want or know you are capable of, you must, as RAFIKI said … LOOK CLOSER!
ON today’s program, I want to share with you ‘The Power of Habits, Rituals, and Routines‘
Biblical Principle:
James 4:17
17 Therefore, to one who knows the right thing to do and does not do it, to him it is sin.
What we repeatedly do
“We are what we repeatedly DO. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a HABIT”. ~ Aristotle
Here’s 5 Steps I would Recommend:
1. Answer the question … “What Do I Want?”
2. Examine your beliefs and habits about that area. What are you currently doing repeatedly?
3. Identify: What new beliefs and/or habits can you develop and live that WILL move the needle?
4. Commit: Make a commitment to yourself to DO this action every day/week, etc for 90 days. Block time
5. Establish Rituals and Routines
WHAT ABOUT YOU?
What new habits will you form TODAY that will change your future?

Nothing Changes Until Something Changes!
Another year has come and gone, and with all of our ideas, plans and even dreams, WE have to change if our results are going to be different than 2014. So many people can imagine themselves out of debt, healthy and at an ideal weight, making more money, owning THAT house or vehicle, or starting that business, YET, so many struggle to make the necessary internal changes that bring about lasting and positive results.
The issue is not the WHAT, and sometimes it is not even the WHY. The real issue is that WHAT WILL YOU DO? The real issue is are we willing to make necessary changes, adjustments, re-arranging our priorities, applying discipline, structure, coaching, counsel? Are we willing to SHIFT our ways, so that we can SEE the change we desire? Someone once said, we have to BE the change we desire to see.
In this episode, I want to challenge you with this idea: It’s Another New Year ~ What Will You Do Different?
Real resolution REQUIRES corresponding and subsequent ACTION that causes the desired change to occur.
Here is a PROCESS I want to suggest that will help you gain clarity on what it is you want, and what steps you need to take to achieve the results you want in life.
- Pray … Ask your Father to open your eyes so you can SEE what He desires for you
- What do you want to look different ONE YEAR from now?
WRITE IT DOWN.
- Closer relationship with God
- Healed heart
- Better marriage
- Relationships with your children
- New job
- More money
- Debts paid off
- Health – ideal weight?
- New relationships
- Launch business
- Write book
- New home
- Your investments funded
- Married – you have to go where the prospects are!
- What dreams have you shelved
- You want to become a pilot?
- You want to get that degree?
- Somewhere you want to travel
- Describe it … See it
- Be extremely detailed
- Assign emotions to this vision/goal
- What will it be like when …?
- What will it look like?
- What will I feel?
- Ask yourself the following questions for EACH
- Do I really want this? Is it really important?
- Is it aligned with my purpose and God’s plans for my life?
- If yes, by what date do I commit to reaching this mark?
- Can I reach this goal doing what I am presently doing?
- Can I achieve this desire with my current resources, education, or relationships?
- Does my present environment help me or hurt me in aspiring to these results?
- What do I need to change?
- What do I need to do?
- What accountability or structure do I need to move towards this vision?
- What can I do TODAY to begin?
- Take Action TODAY
- Identify ONE or TWO changes, steps you ca take immediately and START
Review:
- Pray
- What Do You Want?
- See it and Describe it
- Ask Questions
- Take Action NOW
2015 can (and should) be your BEST YEAR EVER. I encourage you to … Decide, resolve, re-focus, and take action! Make THIS the day you began the process of transformation and activation for your future. Make this the year that you BECOME all God has created you to be

SLP064 - Focusing In On The Desires of Your Heart
Monday Jan 13, 2020
Monday Jan 13, 2020
Experience what it is God wants you to experience.
I truly believe it’s success on every level in your life – health, wealth, relationships… This is a common time of year for most people to be thinking about “New Year’s Resolutions”. I believe “commitment” is a better word than “resolution“. Resolution has become overused and lost it’s meaning. So this year I want you to make a new “commitment” to the things God has laid on your heart. ON today’s program, I want to share with you ‘Focusing In On The Desires of Your Heart‘
Scriptural Principle:
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
The Truth is…
We’re not waiting on God to show up and perform some miracle to make those things happen – what’s keeping those things from happening is us. Are we aligning our thoughts and actions with what “heaven” has said is true about us.

SLP062 - 7 Keys for Navigating Life Transition
Monday Jan 13, 2020
Monday Jan 13, 2020
What will you do with change when it comes to you?
You see, TRANSITION is something we will all experience in life. It is that place between the way things used to be and the way they are becoming. It is the blank page between two chapters in a book. It is unchartered territory. It’s not where you have been, and it is not the full expression of where you are going. It is the place called BETWEEN.
ON today’s program, I want to share with you ‘7 Keys for Navigating Life Transition‘
Scriptural Principle:
Philippians 3:13-14
13 Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and
reaching forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
What is Transition?
The following excerpt was taken from an article www.Therarive.com
Transitions typically mark an ending followed by a time of self-reflection, which hopefully, leads to a new beginning or outlook on life. Every life transition asks us to let go of a past way of thinking or doing. By doing so, we are given the opportunity to replace the old way of being with something new. During the transitional period however,
we usually feel uncomfortable, almost disconnected with our environment and even ourselves.
Dealing With Transition
1. Learn to recognize when something’s season has come to an end
2. Embrace Change
3. Let Go of the Past
4. Identify The Opportunities
5. Concentrate on Growth Areas
6. Commit To Your Future
7. Trust In The Lord … He makes all things NEW!
WHAT ABOUT YOU?
So many people I know are experiencing some level of transition right now. Are you?

SLP061 - The Power of Affirmations
Monday Jan 13, 2020
Monday Jan 13, 2020
Last week we talked about the power of your words
What you say is what you GET. It is imperative that we become aware of, and alter what we say, as it directly impacts our outcomes.
On today’s program, I want to share with you a process by which you can radically alter your life by learning the art of confession and affirmation.
Premises from the Word:
1) God has a pre-determined plan and vision for your life – Jeremiah 1:5
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
And before you were born I consecrated you;
I have appointed you a prophet to the nations.”
2) He has complete and accurate knowledge of the plans He has for you – Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the plans that I have for you,’
declares the LORD, ‘plans for welfare and not
for calamity to give you a future and a hope.”
3) How I SEE myself, and what I believe to be true determines whether or not I realize God’s plans and agenda in my life – Proverbs 23:7
“As a man thinks within himself, so is he …”
4) Whatever God has SPOKEN concerning my life is His Word; His Word cannot lie; it is true, and it will accomplish whatever He had in His mind when we said (sent it) – Isaiah 55:8-11
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways
My ways,” declares the LORD. “For as the heavens are higher
than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My
thoughts than your thoughts. “For as the rain and the snow
come down from heaven,
And do not return there without watering the earth and
making it bear and sprout, and furnishing seed to the sower
and bread to the eater;
So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; It will
not return to Me empty, Without accomplishing what I desire,
and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.”
5) THINGS are erected in our mind’s eye that challenge and compete with what God knows – II Corinthians 10:3-8
“3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty
through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) [** Mindsets]
4 Casting down imaginations, [images, pictures, ideas, beliefs] and every high thing that exalteth itself
against the knowledge of God, and bringing into
captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;”
6) Not all truth is equal; I must know THE truth as God sees it – John 8:31-32
“So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed
Him, “If you continue in My word, then you are truly
disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the
truth will make you free.”
Three ‘Applications’ for Belief Transformation:
- Confessing The Word Of God – When you confess the Word of God you are saying the same thing that God says. Confessing is also “declaring to be true or real.” The
conditions may not match the confession at first, but because the word of God has built a divine image in your heart then you know the confession is truth and it will eventually take the place of the condition. - Affirmations – When making an affirmation you are not letting anything cast it out or deny it. Also, you must believe with your heart. In order to do this you must feed your heart with the TRUTH until it believes it.
- Decrees – When you get to the level of decreeing you can speak 6 God’s Word on a situation and walk away from it because you know God’s Word will change it.
Remember Abraham?
He confessed (or affirmed) the truth as God had spoken
He affirmed, and affirmed, and affirmed until it became his unwavering, personal belief.
He spoke of the FUTURE in the PRESENT TENSE.
He literally called into the present what was not present, on the basis of what God said his future would be.
Time responded to Abraham’s agreement with God’s Word.
